PARENT TO PARENT My son is 5 years old and is in a Special Day Kindergarten classroom. He was diagnosed with an extreme case of ADHD when he was 3, and has been on medication since that time. The medication has helped with his attention, focus, and behavioral issues in the classroom, however, we feel he has not made appropriate progress towards the academic areas. Where can we take him outside of the school district for an evaluation, testing, and academic recommendations? I'm not sure where to start to get him on the right track.
