How do you find a reputable doctor?

I should have sought help years ago but I thought my daughter would outgrow this behavior.  Now I know differently, instead she is steadily getting worse.  What makes it really bad is that she has a year old little girl.  I really don't know where to begin.  Looking back I know there were signs when she was only a small child which I ignored.  Even when I took her to a doctor no one pick up on the serious behavior problems that she has.  Even the school system ignored it.  Now I don't have a clue what I should do.  I am from northwest Ohio is there a doctor or clinic where I can get help for her.  Or what is your suggestion of what I need to do.  Anything would be helpful.

Thank you for your email.  I am not able to know all the doctors or clinics around the country, however, there are several places in which you can look for doctors that work with patients with ADHD:

ADDHelpline Directory

ADDA Professional Yellow Pages

ADD Consults Directory

You can also check with local support groups. Someone there may be able to help you locate a professional in your area:

I hope this helps. Good luck
